My 3D Camera Collection

Here is a look at my collection of 3D cameras. I’ve gathered these over many years…

The Current Set

These are the four cameras I have now, but will be selling the X-E4 set. The X-T5 really isn’t that much heavier and I do appreciate the manual controls for ISO, exposure, shutter speed. The auto focus is also substantially improved. The biggest upgrade though, is the in-camera IBIS (In-Body-Image-Stabilization), that allows for hand-holding the camera even with relatively long exposures.

Previous Camera Setup - Fujifilm W3

Here is the Fujifilm W3 pretty amazing at the time, point and shoot 3D and did movies.

Previous Camera Setup - Canon

Dual portrait. Canon was easy to set the triggering, could simply wire the remote shutters together, then either camera would trigger both cameras at the exact same time. I went through few models. Then switched to fuji X-E4 because I wanted it to be smaller and lighter and get the “IP” (inter-pupilary distance or in this case the distance between the center of the lenses) to be a bit closer together. The triggering on the Fuji though was difficult and it wouldn’t simply allow wiring the camera triggers together. So that was a nagging issue.
